Your Personal Carbon Footprint

Each of us as individuals impacts the planet.

The magnitude of ou individual influence can be determined by calculating each person’s “carbon footprint.”  This imprint is a measurement of how lifestyle choices affect carbon emissions.  Your personal footprint takes into account your habits, the food you eat, your gas and electricity usage, your car and air mileage.  This formula calculates how much of the planet’s resources are required to sustain your lifestyle.

These calculations take into account your household fuel usage (natural gas, propane, electricity, oil, coal, and green energy), and your travel (car, train, subway, bus, boat or airplane).
