John Deakos
Board Member, Financial Committee Chair

Mr. Deakos, who is a graduate of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario and who currently is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and the Order of Engineers of Quebec, has 40 years of Canadian and overseas experience in Power and Industrial Systems. His responsibilities have spanned from the planning and design of power systems to being the lead Electrical Engineer, managing Electrical Departments (with a staff of up to some 65 people) in the design and procurement for new Industrial Projects (costing up to $1.2 billion). Mr. Deakos currently serves as president of the condominium board of directors of the 240 unit Ennisclaire On the Lake condominium complex. Mr. Deakos assists with HAMER’s financial planning and offers direction regarding fiscal responsibilities.
